Frankly, my dear, I don't give a damn*
Things that surprise me when they shouldn't:
1) The train doesn't move from the station. The staff doesn't feel obliged to tell the passengers whether that is temporary or a permanent breakdown. Hey, who cares about information?
2) I always end up being the fool. No matter how big a fool the others are, I am the biggest fool, which is what counts in the end.
3) I want to make a favorable impression on those surrounding me and end up slipping the truth about my heart, which is, frankly, my own business only (and someone else's, too, possibly).
4) I am not perfect. I know. But every time I notice or am being reminded, I am surprised at still thinking the concept real.
"I hated myself. No, here's how it was: I hated my place in the world. ... Breakdown? Breakthrough!" (Jerry Maguire)
